For the 2009 Amsterdam Museum Night, we were invited to create a 30 minute generative countdown to mark the official opening of the event. We developed a series of generative modules which were projected on the interior courtyard walls of the newly opened Hermitage Museum. These modules used particle systems to dynamically preview the different museums in the city, highlighting their unique architectural elements or content. A compass module displayed all the museums in a 360 projected view according to their position in the city relative to the courtyard. This allowed visitors to get an impression of the layout of the city according to the museums's they would be visiting that evening.

All of the modules were developed in tandem with the countdown soundtrack, composed by electronic artist Mamiko Motto specifically for the event.
